Buongiorno e buon lunedì miei cari!
Oggi, come spesso accade, vi presento una ragazza molto giovane che mi ha colpita subito per il suo talento e la sua umiltà: Ilaria De Felice. Chiacchierare con lei è stato un piacere, osservare il suo lavoro altrettanto. Fin da bambina Ilaria sembrava sapere esattamente quale fosse la sua strada! Invece di giocare con le bambole come molte di noi (io avevo una collezione di Barbie che ancora riempie metà del garage!), prendeva carta, matita e colori e lasciava correre la fantasia. Ha svolto poi studi umanistici, ma si sa, quando una passione è forte prima o poi torna a bussare alla tua porta e a pretendere attenzioni. Così si è iscritta all’Accademia di moda Sitam di Lecce, dove ha conseguito il diploma presentando il progetto che vi mostro oggi, e che mi ha fatta innamorare di lei! Il corpetto ricamato, le trasparenze, l’allure regale dell’abito mi hanno incantata. Evidente è il riferimento allo stilista libanese Elie Saab, non a caso tra i suoi preferiti insieme a Valentino, Miu Miu e Chanel. La sua vera ossessione? Come tante donne (stavolta non mi sento chiamata in causa) le scarpe! Jimmy Choo e Louboutin in cima, ça va sans dire!
Il “gioco” preferito di Ilaria è ancora lo stesso di quando era bambina: creare! Invece di carta e matita, oggi prende stoffe e tessuti di ogni tipo e li trasforma in preziosi sogni da indossare per sentirsi uniche. E proprio per questo suo talento ha avuto il grande onore di partecipare, emozionatissima, alla Fashion Week di Bucharest! Ma all’inizio del post vi avevo parlato della sua umiltà: Ilaria è convinta che non si smetta mai di imparare, continuerà a studiare per prendere la specializzazione CAD, e a sfogliare le sue riviste preferite (prima tra tutte Vogue, che ha utilizzato per realizzare la sua tesi) per cogliere sempre nuove ispirazioni. E noi saremo qui, impazienti di vedere i suoi nuovi lavori, vero? 😉 Baci baci!

Today I’m going to introduce you a young Italian girl who hit my attention for her talent and humility: Ilaria De Felice. Chatting with her and observing her work was a real pleasure. When she was a child, Ilaria seemed to know what was her destiny! Instead of playing with dolls as we were doing (my garage is still full of my Barbies’ collection), she used to take paper, pencil and colours to let her immagination go. She started studying law but, you know, when you have a strong passion sooner or later it comes to call you! So she attended the Sitam Fashion Academy in Lecce and got her diploma with the project I’ll show you! The precious top, the transparencies, the elegant allure enchanted me! There is a strong reference to the Libanese fashion designer Elie Saab, one of her favourites with Valentino, Miu Miu and Chanel. Actually her obsession is, as a lot of women (except for me) shoes! Jimmy Choo and Louboutin at the top, ça va sans dire!
Ilaria‘s favourite “game” is still the same: to create with her hands! Instead of paper and pencils, she now takes fabrics and wovens and turn them into precious wearable dreams! Thanks to her talent she took part in the Bucharest Fashion Week! But he is also very modest, and she thinks there are always things to learn. So she’ll continue studying to get the CAD specialization, and read her favouite magazines (especially Vogue) to get new inspirations!
