Spread the love

What does trunk show mean? A trunk show is a special kind of event where a fashion designer, an atelier, a boutique invites only a few selected people, journalists and clients, that sometimes have the possibility to try and buy clothes at a special price. I’ve never been to a trunk show before last Sunday, when Le Spose di Majorca invited me and Carlo. I was so happy and excited because it is one of the most famous and polished bridal ateliers in Agrigento, my hometown. The atmosphere was so cozy and elegant, the showroom is so modern and refined. We were welcomed by Mr. Majorca himself, who spent a little time with us. He hit me so much because it’s a little surprising for a successfull fashion worker to pay attention to young inexperienced people, expecially working in a “new” field of fashion and communication like blogging.

He asked me a lot of informations about my activity and told me something about his family running atelier. With a father proud he told me about his daughters and sons, who are undertaking the new collection MIA, thanks to the creative and fashion environment in which they have grown up. It was a honour for us to see in exclusive right some sketches of the collection, that was presented on October 13, when I was busy with my exams! Mr. Majorca also told me about some incoming projects, for example a collaboration with Vera Wang was made official this week, and I’m so excited about it! I think she is the best bridal fashion designer of the world 😀 Anyway, the whole showroom was set up with expositions of different young fashion desgners, and a taste of sweets and champagne was served to the guests. After that, we were accompanied in the runway room, that was perfectly set up too, to see wonderful models wearing amazing dresses by Elisabetta Polignano, Blumarine, Jenny Packham, Jesus Peirò and Yolan Cris! It was awesome, I love it!

I cannot say everything but congratulations to this beautiful family who manages this atelier from years and made it a corner of elegance and refinement in Agrigento, where every woman can have the dress of her dreams and be accompanied with taste and attention during this research. Of course I invite you to see the website and facebook page to be always up-to-date with their projects and new collections 🙂

Cosa significa trunk show?
